Basic Info Icon: Type: Strategist Health: 175 (225 when buffed by a Medic) Speed: 107%
Name: Sandra Castro Country of Origin: Madrid, Spain Job: Scientist Motto: "I'm a Professional." Times in jail: Five and counting. Badges: Description: The interest in mixing, studying and occasionally setting things on fire made this lady turn into a complete mad scientist, up to the point of making her study Alchemy. Her fragile and femenine looks are nothing compared to her never ending knowledge on the area.
Potion Gun: Works like a Medigun, but enchants players with special potions instead. It creates a link between the Alchemist and the target like a healing gun, but atom symbols surround the aura, in the place of Medic's crosses. Potions have two modes: handheld and ammunition.
Handheld Mode: aim at an enemy or at an ally and lock your target, then press the left button of the mouse to throw. Ammunition Mode: press the right button of the mouse to equip a potion, then aim and press the left one to fire. To switch back to Handheld, simply press the right button again. In both cases, after each fire, the damage goes down by 10% as penalty.
By pressing G, you can call a nearby player to use their Potion Gun on you, making a bubble with her badge appear over your head.
Caramell Potion: Increases attack, but lowers defense. Pink Potion: Increases defense, but lowers attack. Green Potion: Increases speed, but increases cooldown time. Purple Potion: Lowers cooldown time, but lowers speed.
Mixture Bottles: Acid and Grenade Bottles. Both work the same, regardless of the target's defense. Grenade Bottle or Molotov Cocktail: Targets an area and sets it on fire by throwing a grenade bottle. The flames will not push back enemies within their range. Used to remove Demoman's sticky bombs and Spy's electro-sappers. Ice Bottle or Freeze Ray: Crashes a bottle of liquid nitrogen on the floor, causing all nearby enemies to freeze during a period of 3 seconds. Effects apply on characters during the effect of übercharge. If a frozen statue is hit with a Demolition Hammer, it's a one-hit kill and breaks. Shock Bottle or Electric Circuit: Shoots a bottle with an unstable solution, causing an Eletric effect on targets. Chances of causing short-circuit on weapons from the Dr. Grordbort Pack. Can be used to deactivate Engineer buildings. Acid Bottle or Pirate Juice: Flings a bottle of corrosive acid at the enemy that has a chance of causing the Bleeding effect.
It's possible to equip up to 10 units of Solutions (to make Potions & Bottles), out of a 75 total she can carry. You can replenish it on Supply Closets or on Laboratory Tables. You choose which one you want to use the same way an Engineer chooses what to build: with the respective keyboard number on the menu displayed.
Laboratory Table: works like an Engineer's Dispenser, but replenishes Potions and Mixture Bottles. Players get one per life. You can either mixture a Grenade with an Acid Bottle to create a deadly Acid Bomb or an Ice with a Shock Bottle to create a Hailstorm. The process of combining them takes five seconds.
Basic Strategy Battle Alchemist: Suggested for advanced players only. To make up for her low HP, the trick is to stay close to classes like Soldiers or Pyros (since Scouts are too fast), and attack along with them. Acid Bottles are very good when infiltrating defenses, the only downside is that the Bleeding effect can be interrupted by an übercharge. Thus, the first classes Battle Alchemists should take out are Medics. Pure Potter: Stay always next to supply closets at the spawning areas before the game starts, even if you're defending. When the counter reaches 0, you can either follow someone into the battlefield similar to a Healing Medic or stay on a safe area along with an Engineer and a Dispenser (watch out for Spies). Whenever you change potions or aim, it takes away 15 Solutions, so be reasonable.
Taunt Attack Jackpot "I'll crack your head open like a little piñata!" The Alchemist puts the Demolition Hammer on her shoulder, then swings it and smashes the closest enemy on the head.
Relationships with Team Members Offense Scout: both enjoy competing on everything, for shits and giggles. Soldier: she learns about war from him, he learns about potions with her. Pyro: can't understand a word s/he says, so you go figure. Defense Demoman: get along well, as both love blowing up stuff. Heavy: she hates him, and the hatred is reciprocated. Engineer: loves watching him build things: chicks dig handy men. Support Medic: they constantly alternate between friends and enemies. Sniper: make fun of each other all the time, but are still good mates. Spy: can't live with him, can't live without him. Like siblings. Strategy General: they're best friends like the Heavy and the Medic. Air-Aid: both are actually very close: he's like family for her.

Hm, yes. You see, alchemy wasn't made up by FMA, it actually existed long before the anime.
That being said, alchemists' main purposes were to be able to turn metals (like iron) into gold, make the elixir of eternal life and, of course, create a homunculus. It's often described by them as "a small humanoid, a perfect copy of human beings in smaller scale".
